Sparkling Pink Elderflower Wine 2020 - 12% - single 75cl bottles - Méthode Traditionnelle
The flowers for this sparkling wine were hand picked from a purple elderflower shrub from Torre Abbey Gardens, Torquay, Devon during 2020 spring and summer lockdown. The head Gardener Ali invited us to pick the flowers, as the gardens were closed, and so none of the visitors would have been able to enjoy looking at the beautiful pink flowers. So, now instead, people can enjoy drinking the pink flowers instead, which is just as good.
This sparkling pink elderflower champagne is medium flavour, with lots of zippy, zest lemon flavours and packed full of elderflower infusions and aromas. Best served chilled in a champagne flute.
Each barrel of elderflower we make contains over 120 fresh lemons, all hand squeezed by us.
Yarde's Sparkling Pink Elderflower Wine is part of our Yarde Garden range of Drinks. Key ingredients are grown by us on a small scale in Yarde's Flavour Garden or other local, wildlife-friendly gardens.
To create the perfect sparkle, we use the classic method developed in the champagne region to produce a secondary fermentation in the bottle. Each bottle is then hand turned daily for 6 weeks before disgorging to remove the sediment.
