Yarde is an elegant, sparkling cider crafted using rare bitter-sharp and bitter-sweet cider apples picked from orchards in the rolling hills of South Devon.
We use the same traditional method as they do in the Champagne region of France to create the fine bubbles. It involves a secondary fermentation inside the champagne bottle, allowing the cider to develop its complexity and subtle nuances. Each bottle takes at least three years to produce, and often much longer.
These bottle-conditioned ciders are the perfect alternative to a glass of Prosecco or Champagne. Ideal for sipping as an aperitif or for celebrating.
It is best enjoyed chilled in a champagne flute or tulip glass to capture the delicate apple and biscuity aromas and to watch the fine bubbles.
Our apples are hand-picked from local orchards which are managed traditionally and are wildlife friendly.
The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in rural areas has supported Yarde Cider to develop its sparkling, Méthode Traditionnelle products.
